Your cases and your TEEs, counted as you go.
Log a case in a sentence. Anesto counts it toward every ACGME adult cardiothoracic requirement it meets, keeps your TEE log against the NBE’s 150 and 300, builds your fellowship report, and sends cases and TEEs to ACGME from your phone. Free for fellows.

Example with invented numbers.
Say the case. It counts where it should.
Anesto tracks every one of ACGME’s adult cardiothoracic case requirements: cardiac cases and bypass, valves with mitral and aortic, revascularization, the two-of-four breadth requirement, thoracic, aorta, and the 35 as primary. One case can count toward several at once.
- Your role on every case: Primary, Supervising or Not involved, in ACGME’s own meaning. It starts at Primary.
- Only Primary and Supervising count toward the case requirements, and only Primary counts toward the 35.
- Say your role and Anesto takes it. “I was supervising the CA-2” sets Supervising, and the case tells you it came from your words.
“Mitral valve repair on pump, I was supervising the CA-2”
Example. Counts toward cardiac, bypass, valve and mitral; not toward the 35 as primary.
The NBE’s 150 and 300, counted the NBE’s way.
Every exam is logged as Performed or Reviewed, and Intraop, Pre-op, Post-op or Not periop. Every perioperative exam counts toward the 300; intraoperative exams you performed count toward the 150. A TEE that isn’t perioperative, like one before a cardioversion, stays in your log and is marked not counted.
- Add one or several at once, from “+ TEE” on a case or “+” on the TEE log.
- When a dictation reads like an exam, Anesto asks whether it was a case with its TEE, just a case, or a TEE exam only.
- Sent to ACGME too. A TEE on its own asks the one thing a case would have told it: on pump?
TEE study or case?
Example. A pre-op exam counts toward the 300, not the 150.
Your fellowship report, one tap from Progress.
Export it when your program asks, or when you apply to the NBE. In order:
- Summary: your fellowship and dates, the requirements table, the two NBE counters, and your ICU month and conference checks.
- Case log: every counted case with date, procedure, bypass, role and attending.
- TEE log: every exam, with the ones that don’t count marked.
- TEEs by month.
- A draft of the NBE training letter with only the numbers and dates filled in. Your program director retypes it on letterhead, signs it, and has it notarized. Anesto never signs it.
If your ACGME totals are on your phone, the report prints them in their own column beside Anesto’s, never added together.

You connect once, on ACGME’s own page inside the app. Anesto never sees your password.
Only adds, never edits
Anesto adds cases and checks they arrived. It never changes or deletes anything on ACGME.
ACGME’s numbers beside yours
With one tap on Progress, Anesto reads your ACGME totals and shows them next to its own, so a missing case stands out.
What fellows ask
Is it really free?
Yes. Fellows and residents get every feature at no charge, including the TEE log, the fellowship report and sending to ACGME.
Which fellowships does Anesto support?
Adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology. Other fellowships aren’t supported yet.
How do I set it up?
Choose Fellow as your provider type, then pick Adult Cardiothoracic, your ACGME-accredited program from the list, and your start and graduation dates.
I logged as a resident. Can I switch?
Yes, in Account. Your details are kept, and each case keeps the mode it was logged under, so your residency cases don’t land in your fellowship numbers.
Does Anesto sign the NBE letter?
No. The report includes a draft with the numbers and dates filled in. Your program director retypes it on letterhead, signs it and has it notarized. If your dates span less than 12 months, or you export before your graduation date, the draft says so in a note above the letter.
Does Anesto store patient information?
Anesto never asks for patient names, MRNs or birthdays, and has no place to put them. Please never type or say them. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
